The short answer: monthly for maintenance
For a generally healthy person with a desk job and normal stress, one session a month keeps tension from hardening into pain. Think of it like dental cleaning for your muscles — prevention beats rescue every time.
When every two weeks makes sense
Training for a race, sleeping badly, carrying a new baby, or surviving a brutal quarter at work? Book biweekly for six to eight weeks. You will feel the cumulative effect: each session starts where the last one left off instead of from zero.
When weekly is the prescription
Acute injury recovery, post-accident rehab and severe chronic pain sometimes call for weekly sessions — usually for a defined stretch of four to six weeks, with progress reviewed each time. This is the territory of our medical massage plans.
Listen to your body (and your calendar)
The honest test: if tension returns before your next appointment, shorten the interval; if you arrive feeling fine, stretch it out. And consistency beats intensity — twelve monthly sessions do more than one desperate visit a year.
